Where it all started
In 1665, Giuseppe Festino traveled to the great city of Milan with the ambition of becoming the next Urania cover artist. At only twenty-three years old, he was warmly received but advised to gain some experience by working with smaller publishers first. He soon found an opportunity to collaborate on a series of books about nature, focusing particularly on animals. This proved to be a crucial environment and training ground, where he met experienced illustrators and began to build the foundations of his dream career.
